    Ouch!

MONTREAL - American Chelsea Davis hit her nose on the diving board during the 3-meter springboard preliminaries Friday at the World Swimming Championships.

I just saw this clip on TV and though not the same, it reminded me of American Greg Louganis smacking his head on a diving board oh so many years ago at the Olympics.

Hurts to look at that. She is lucky she didn't break her neck.

It is unbelieveable she wasn't injured any worse than she was.

Although she didn't break her nose, a lot of blood was seen on her face. I feel sorry for people who injure themselves whilst performing at world events! Poor girl; it was lucky she didn't break anything! :(

Do you agree that officials at these diving competitions should even think about having springboards for reverse divers?

I don't think so. :p I believe they should consider placing platforms, in those positions, on the reverse side of the pool (e.g. 1m platform, 5m, 10m, etc)
especially for reverse diving. It would reduce self-harm, wouldn't it? o_O

    David.
