Under Win98SE, I recently installed Firefox 2.0 in addition to, not as an overwrite of, my Firefox 1.5.07 installation. This type of additional install requires redirecting SB to the appropriate folder. In the past I have done this without problems. This time I decided to uninstall and reinstall SB, just in case the differences between FF versions was significant. Naturally, something went wrong.

I am now unable to run SB 3.5.1 at all -- it's generating this error:

SPYWAREBLASTER caused an invalid page fault in module KERNEL32.DLL at 017f:bff7b9a6.

Various things have failed to solve this: uninstalling and re-reinstalling SB, including complete Registry cleansing; deletion of all SB database files, even rolling back to a 3-day-old Registry. The error persists.

I now believe that something went wrong during the "remove all protection" process prior to uninstalling SB, and that that is the source of the conflict. But I have no idea how to resolve it. Similar and/or identical error posts in the SB Forums mention only installation of the VB6 SP6 runtimes, which I have (versions verified).

Before I need to restore a previous C: image or reinstall Windows, ANY help on resolving this is greatly appreciated, I'm very hesitant to browse the web at all without SB by my side.
