    HA-HA 2good, that`s what it is "2good".

Somebody hopefully will explain it in glorious technicolor. Majorgeek has big fan club including me, but "half price" ? NAH - I don`t buy it. We may not spot it, but you can bet your bottom dollar there is a catch and unless there is a mole around to spill the beans, you won`t know what it is until you`ve coughed up your bucks.

My gut feel - back off.

Its too good to pass up at the same time I sure as hell don't feel like dishing out 40.00 bucks.

Tread carefully, look out for booby traps. After Tzuk`s tantrums that have upset all his customers with his authentication, fee`s, key checking and general dancing around without a Choreographer - see thread https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=278729 - this is still going strong.

The guy just ain`t gonna miss out on Majorgeeks cut-price tactics without slamming the mockers on it.

Wait for some of our experts to come in on this. Should be interesting.

Really? All customers? Unlike you, I'm a paying customer (ten licenses...four personal and six commercial) and I'm not upset.

My dear Nick, "Unlike you ?" No need for that kind of derogatory remark is there ?.

As I have explained many times, I use the Free version of SBxie and have given my reasons several times. Being a freebie enthusiast does not prevent me from siding with all the posters who ARE greatly upset by the recent barrage of confusing and restrictive measures that have been thrown around by SBxie and have a grievance.

By the way, I am very fortunate that I have no financial problems that prevent me from buying anything I wish.

YOU may not be upset, but if you take the trouble to read the rest of the posts, I feel you just "may" get the impression that many other paid-up users are VERY upset. Even freebie players have the right to make their views known on general issues. Paying a subscription does not give one the exclusive rights of comment.

John before you go commenting on other folk's derogatory remarks, read the ones you have written about Tzuk.

You seem to preen yourself on the fact that you refuse to pay for any software.

You didn't pay for your version of Sandboxie, so I fail to see why you think you have the right to tell all and sundry your views on the paid software subject.

Stapp - Every right in the world chum. Freedom of expression is not a question of payment. What sort of world would we have if our comments were limited to paying a fee ? Don`t you like views that conflict with your own ? You are in good company - neither do Presidents or Moguls of industry.

Don`t be ridiculous my dear friend. As for money, I have enough to buy SBxie, so don`t throw stones at me for that.

No good quoting what I have said about Tzuk, I wrote it and do not need reminding. No regrets, Tzuk has earned every word of it by the unnecessary confusion he has inflicted on his customers.

Anyway, what is all this "I must love Tzuk" nonsense ? The guy`s a business man, he`s a big boy and should be able to look after himself in the Hurley-burly of market pressures and problems without having a supporting chorus.

Get used to it John - it's called the "Wilders Fanboy Syndrome" ;)

When i first signed up here, there was a guy (think his name was Randy) who would swing into the AV section like Tarsan to defend any and every negative comment said about Norton :D

Smokey, a veritable pearl of a comment. Well they can`t stop ya laughing can they ?

I`ll buy you a big fat Cuban cigar anytime and we`ll puff the place out together to set the smoke alarms ringing real and loud.
Don`t mind the addicts, they are a captive and committed market. Easy target.

Your fellow cough-er, splutter-er and buddy - John

Don't think any of us disrespect him Franklin. Doesn't mean that we can't disagree with how things get handled and say that here.

I for one recognise Ronan Tzuk as an exceptional cybernetic genius, but that does not mean he knows much about business sense or customer relationships. I do not appreciate his irrational gymnastics on issuing confusing and worrying statements to his loyal paid-up customers due to his paranoia about piracy and spammers.

As a one man band, it sounds like he is getting his drums mixed up with his trumpets.

No offence John Bull but surely his paying customers do not need you to constantly speak for them at such great length. As a paid up customer you certainly aren't speaking for me and I'm neither confused or worried about the activation is Sandboxie. I can't speak for any other paid up customers and nor can you.

I don`t speak for anybody, just as an observer assimilating a situation and giving my opinions like all free individuals are allowed to do. Nothing wrong with that I hope. Presumably you do know the definition of a democratic society. I have this naive but lurking conception that is exactly what Forum`s are all about, or am I wrong ? Surely they are not a bullying ring for persecuting radical thinkers ?

Of course you are entitled to your opinion and you've expressed it very eloquently and at great length. However I wanted to show that your opinion is not one that's shared by everybody, it may not even be the majority. I don't love tzuk and I'm not a fanboy by the way. You're right he's a grown up business man who's livelyhood will flourish or die by making business/engineering decisions such as the implementing activation so I doubt it's a decision he's taken lightly. I'm interested in the outcome but we won't know that for a year or two.

As for "Surely they are not a bullying ring for persecuting radical thinkers" - you're sounding a bit paranoid and irrational yourself there fella :)

It would be difficult to describe some of the comments as respectful by any stretch of the imagination. Closer to insulting --- all the the name of democracy and free speech. What a shame.

My dear trjam, what a lovely reaction and much appreciated.

What these people do not fully realise is the subtle point that being a "Freebie" I am more important to Tzuk than they are as paid-up customers. Tzuk has had their cash, they are a captive audience. I am income potential and with millions like me present a large prospective increase in turnover.

When the kind of mess that is being discussed in this thread occurs, how do you think that potential customers like me react ? Well, I`ll tell you - not good.

To read comments that I have no right to put forward my opinions, is downright annoying. Posters who have that attitude obviously do not understand the first principles of free speech and conversation participation.

It's getting there but that isn't a perfect solution. Posts may be quoted, partially or in toto.

Here's hoping the raging bull finds another china shop / red flag / whatever ;)
