    Its fully configurable so you should be able to solve any issue just by editing the ini file

    Maybe you have already "SubscribeWnfStateChange" in your config.

    Perfect that's it, many thanks to David and busy,
    I added "ApproveWinNtSysCall=SubscribeWnfStateChange" and VLC now starts again in SB+

    Does anyone know what this message is about? I'm running SBIE Plus 1.3.2 x64. I get it every time I try to launch Vivaldi, but other boxes run just fine.

    I'm using an older version of Sandboxie Plus, and I don't get this. I also haven't upgraded Vivaldi yet though, I will report back soon.

    Yeah, I'm using version 5.4.2753.47 (Stable channel) (64-bit) of Vivaldi.

    Yeah, I'm not sure. I even deleted the Vivaldi box and recreated it, using only the built-in template and I still get the same message. I'm even getting the same message if I delete my sandboxie.ini, let it recreate itself using the defaults, and then creating a new sandboxie and using the built-in Vivaldi template.

    I've even reinstalled the driver and service using maintenance mode, and I still get the error when trying to launch Vivaldi.

    Very strange...

    As you say...it's a strange one.

    In case it helps here is my default box ini

    I don't have a Vivaldi box as such, Vivaldi is set as the default browser on my machine and I start it by double clicking my Sandboxed Web Browser pizza desktop icon.

    [DefaultBox]
    Enabled=y
    BlockNetworkFiles=y
    BorderColor=#00ffff,ttl,6
    Template=OpenBluetooth
    Template=SkipHook
    Template=FileCopy
    Template=qWave
    Template=BlockPorts
    Template=LingerPrograms
    Template=AutoRecoverIgnore
    ConfigLevel=9
    BoxNameTitle=n
    CopyLimitKb=81920
    AutoDelete=y
    DropAdminRights=y
    AllowNetworkAccess=<BlockNetAccess>,n
    RecoverFolder=C:\Users\Room\Downloads

    I ended up solving the issue. Or, perhaps I should say the issue has been dealt with. I'm not really sure what the problem was, but I ended up restoring an image from a few days agoi and copying over the newer sandboxie.ini file and now everything seem to be running fine. But I'm not suer what could have been solved with a rollback (perse) as opposed to just reinstalling the service and drivers. Oh well. It's working now.

    Thank you for your help.

    Great to hear that you are backup and running again with Vivaldi.

    It's such a relief when things work isn't it !!

    Is anyone else not seeing a difference with the file recovery exclusions, no matter which ones you input? In Vivaldi, I'm still prompted to save .tmp, and .crdownload files even though their on the list. I've tried .tmp and *.tmp, neither seem to matter.

    Please try to enter the file extensions without the asterisk. At least this is how they are stored in the Templates.ini.
    Code:
    [Template_AutoRecoverIgnore]
    Tmpl.Title=#4291
    Tmpl.Class=Misc
    AutoRecoverIgnore=.part
    AutoRecoverIgnore=.jc!
    AutoRecoverIgnore=.leechget
    AutoRecoverIgnore=.dlm
    AutoRecoverIgnore=.tmp
    AutoRecoverIgnore=.download
    AutoRecoverIgnore=.dtapart
    AutoRecoverIgnore=.crdownload
    AutoRecoverIgnore=.crx
    AutoRecoverIgnore=.ob!
    AutoRecoverIgnore=.partial
    AutoRecoverIgnore=.!ut
    AutoRecoverIgnore=.lnk
    AutoRecoverIgnore=desktop.ini
    AutoRecoverIgnore=.opdownload

    Thanks for this! It worked fine. I usually feel like an idiot once a day, and it's still the morning here. I guess I'm in for a long day.

    Can happen. :) Glad if I could help. In addition, the UI could also be a little more accurate in the description here.

    It also exists with the current public beta of the Winamp Community Update Project (WACUP) and Sandboxie 5.59.2!

    But as I said: Only with Windows 10 (not up to and including Sandboxie 5.55.15). On Windows 7 the problem does not exist at all.

    Edit: Unfortunately, with 5.55.15 I have constant errors with all browsers (Firefox, Vivaldi, Brave) and had to hide the messages 2203 (GUIPROXY (but not WerFault.exe)) and 2205 (NetUseAdd). I guess I have to go back to even lower versions after all, just how far?
