Yes, I can confirm that without that setting no error-message will pop up here either. But then the whole Sandman-interface will pop up instead where you would have to actively select the file to recover first in the list of files before being able to press "Recover".

Needless to say that the large Sandman-main-window popping up each time a file gets downloaded - thereby heavily interfering with the browsing-experience - is undesirable to put it mildly and would also jeopardize the intended "single-button-press"-immediate-recovery/dismissal-experience.

Could you elaborate on this? If I delete a picture now, won't the space/blocks just sit there, only being used in the next round of data writing?

I'm not David but perhaps I can help, too. You may find some initial info about your question here:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wear_leveling

Other than that suffice it to say that the real solution for your desire to leave no traces behind while surfing the Internet would be to run the browser in a sandbox first (as usual) BUT then at the same time make use of the brandnew Sandboxie-Plus-feature of "outsourcing" the whole sandbox-content to a virtual RAM-drive - created on-the-fly once such a sandbox is created - where those storage-cells within the per-se volatile RAM-modules used for that purpose will physically and without further hassle lose all information once held automatically as soon as the power gets turned off.

These triggers are very helpful. But i searched for it in the actual version 1.11.2 and 1.11.3 of Sandboxie-Plus, and i can't find them. Are they being removed in the newer versions?

No, they're still there in the same place. Although you might need to be using the "Advanced View" (instead of "Simple View" or "Vintage View") to see it

Thank's a lot - this was the problem. I'm working in the "Simple view" and was not aware, that i can see more menus when i switch to the "Advanced view". Do you know, whether the settings in the Triggers are still working, when i set them to something and after this i switch back to Simple-View? Or do i have to use Advanced-View, when i want to use the Triggers?

Yeah it should work, I think Simple view just hides stuff from the GUI but doesn't actually affect those settings, just try it out when in doubt :)
