Installed 5.49.8 over the top of the previous build.
No issues with Chrome/Chromium based browsers.
    Thanks David.

Having a bit of problem with Plus 0.7.5.
Tried uninstalling but Sandbox still won't empty. Had to stop service.
So I am now uninstalling.ini as well, rebooting, and will try installing again.

OK, a little confusing because there were message boxes from both stating one was detecting the other and had to be unnstalled. Nevertheless, I was able to install both over the top successfully but had to launch Sbie Control manually from Program Files to get it to show up in the system tray.

Despite the Installer being signed (Tonalio GmbH), SmartScreen in Microsoft Edge was messing with the download again. Reported as "safe"!

    Thanks for the updated software!:thumb:

Yea you probably had booth version installed at some point so each installer found the other once uninstall entry
you could open reg edit and go to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\" and remove one of teh uninstall entries

SmartScreen... WTF its an EV cert so it should have good reputation from the get go

Do you run Edge Microsoft Defender SmartScreen On or Off?
~ my Edge sandbox reports "was blocked" for all exe downloads:
    png_10755.png png_10756.png
Note: I have Edge Microsoft Defender SmartScreen Off because some demo pages do not work as designed in my Edge sandbox. https://demo.smartscreen.msft.net/ ~ maybe, my Edge sandbox has a SmartScreen anomaly. I need to re-test my Edge sandbox with Edge Microsoft Defender SmartScreen On.

Hello @DavidXanatos, good to hear from you again. Thanks a lot for the effort.

Unfortunately I have to report that after installing Sbie-Plus v.0.7.5 neither the current version of Chrome nor my main Opera-browser in its current version v.76 (using Chromium v.90) will launch.

Chrome gives plenty of different Sbie-error-messages on each try, not the same numbers, interestingly though.
    Werfault.exe (xxxxxx)
    (14744) or
    1972
    16324
    19264
    20000
    "WerFault.exe (21120): SBIE2101 Object name not found: Unnamed object, error OpenProcess (C0000022) access=001FFFFF initialized=1"

The part onward from SBIE2101 will be the same.

Contrary to that Opera v.75 (using Chromium v.89) DID start normally under Sbie-plus-v.0.7.4 - and still does under Sbie-plus-v.0.7.5.

My system showing this fault is a Lenovo laptop YOGA 7 15ITL5 running Windows_10_pro_forWKS_21H1.

I keep SmartScreen enabled/ON. It's just a few extra clicks to get the download. That is peculiar, though. You would expect something that's OFF to stay OFF in all situations.

I mentioned the SmartScreen incident because I thought everything was cleared Sandboxie-wise and these sorts of blocks wouldn't happen any more.

So with Edge SmartScreen On from your Edge sandbox... you saw "was blocked"? #309
Just now with Edge SmartScreen On from my Edge sandbox. v0.7.5 / 5.49.8

~ with Edge SmartScreen On from my Edge sandbox. Phishing Page & Malware Page demo do not render expected red full page block, as designed. Blocked Download & Potentially Unwanted Download do not render popup as expected, as designed.

Sorry, I neglected to mention that Edge is not sandboxed on here. However, since you mentioned it, when I opened Edge as usual via right-click from the icon in the systray, I was getting these annoying message boxes like this one:
    edge mess box.PNG
I then remembered that I had enabled the Strict Origin Isolation flag in Edge://flags. However, that message persists even when that flag is disabled. I don't have the Drop Rights setting checked, that box is clear. If I open Edge from the Sbie icon on the desktop, I get other annoying message boxes, like this:
    edge pages closed.PNG

This happened spontaneously after I installed the latest Classic. Firefox works fine so I'll just continue with that.

Okay....now we're on the same page > Edge SmartScreen On + Edge not sandbox'd.
    png_10768.png
I'm not seeing annoying message boxes.
    Google 'edge administrator mode'

As far as I am concerned, the installation of v5.49.8 over v5.49.7 went without a hitch. Moreover, it is now working fine with Brave! :thumb:

Thank you very much for the update!

Yep, did that already, various "fixes" didn't work. I'll keep trying, though but it's nothing urgent for me. Edge does open clean and clear sometimes via the desktop icon at least. Edit: it also opens fine via the Sandboxie Plus UI, so I dunno, whatever. The main thing is Firefox and that works great sandboxed.

Thank you for confirming my suspicions that I need to figure out what's going on on here. :) Haven't messed around with anything Box-wise after installing the latest Sbie version.

Changes and additions I noticed in Sandboxie.ini

    Changes in all boxes
    ConfigLevel=8 to ConfigLevel=9 (Meaning?)
    Template=FileCppy to Template=FileCopy (Correcting a typo?)

    Additions in just one box
Template=OpenBluetooth (in just one box, for Teamviewer program)

    Meaning?

    TIA

This worked a treat--actually the Reset from Settings. Thanks very much for sticking thru this, you fixed the issue with something often overlooked as a quick and effective fix. Edge successfully opens from the systray icon now without annoying boxes. :thumb:

Yeah, I've run Edge Repair & Reset, before...to see what happens.
    Thanks

This seems to fix the unity issue with stuck threads. Once enabled, they start normal. Which is good process.

However, Noita still crashes since 0.7.3, 7.1 and 7.2 was great for all. I still wonder what changes pushed Noita off the bed and the unity games which worked fine with 0.7.2. Most stable version so far.
One which didn't work anymore for some time is No Mans Sky and Blades of Time (which never worked so far) Guess not all will work ever. So just hoping one day they will work :thumb:
    Great work!!
I might again fallback to 0.7.2. still.

I don't have any issues running Vivaldi 4.0.2312.13 (Chrome 91) with Sandboxie 5.49.8. No special settings were needed for GPU or hardware rendering.

    Great Job @DavidXanatos!
