Sandboxie KmdUtil.exe

Vandaag (16-08-2020) kreeg ik bericht dat Sandboxie niet meer zou moeten werken.
ik moest de laatste Sandboxie installeren.
Dus dat gaat goed, maar een deel niet. Het handige onderdeel.
ik heb het meerdere keren geïnstalleerd. Maar het antwoord is: hij kon het pad niet vinden.
Vreemd.
Wat te doen ?

Strange Windows 10 should find path's till 256 characters.

 

i am pretty sure that your used antivirus or other security software has killed it. kmdutil is only for starting/stopping services/sbie_programs before files are installed, not needed for usage. i read that you may use FirstDefense software, you dont need such software on windows 10.

 

ik have tried these :
C:\Users\fegel\AppData\Local\Temp\nsn88D7.tmp\KmdUtil.exe start SbieSvc
result is this app could not executed.

 

Why should i not use Instant Recovery ?

I searched the registry for KmdUtil.exe.
Indeed , i found it 5 times.

the map nsn88D7.tmp name changed every installation
But all deleted and again installed, i got the same answer.

the prgr could not find the path.

kMDuTIL.EXE OR sBIEsvc ?
THEY ARE ALL THERE

 

applause, i succeeded the instalaltion and starting of Sandboxie.

I did uninstall the last installation and searched the regsitry on parts left.
I found lots of them.
again deleting those reg parts.
Closing Bitdefender a while and installed Sandboxie.
and YES, succes!!

Cost me lots of time !

you never mentioned BitDefender before. to repeat - at least its pointless to install any other antivirus on windows. this is what can happen, and it will happen again, maybe not sandboxie, but similar. kmdutil works with system routines (similar nirsoft tools) and it is blacklisted in BD. i can tell you that i dont have such issue with windows defender.

it could be Bitdefender is the cause. But i have at each installation closed the Bitdefender a while.
windows Defender is good, but in comparison not so good.
Before the last succesfull installation i have searched the Regsitry with Registrar Registry Manager (64-bit) on all Sandboxie entrances.
Found a lot.
So Ashampoo uninstaller 9 works not for 100 %.
Sometimes it happens, it goes wrong with installations.
