Sandboxie and VirtualBox

Weird, you would think that Sandboxie could not virtualize VMWare. And this is because VMWare needs to interact with its driver, and this will be blocked by Sandboxie. Which means that VMWare Workstation would malfunction. So I still don't get it.

 

I did have to give it "Run as UAC Administrator" permission, the only sandboxed program that I have ever had to do that with.

OK I see, perhaps this means that VMware runs with admin rights and somehow has access to its driver? I guess only David Xanatos (current developer of SBIE) could explain this. I never give any sandboxed app admin rights, because it does't make a whole lot of sense.
