Thanks for the heads up. :thumb:
In the interest of reporting general forum response info...
    I posted about a SBIE/Chrome issue on 1/28/14.
Two days later I received a response that they were looking into it.
Six days later they said a fix would be included in the next release.
Thirteen days later I'm still waiting (not impatiently).

Sandboxie causes Chrome crash when reporting issue

    Thanks, Bo!
The beta fixes the Chrome crash when reporting an issue.
Running smooth on two W7 x 64 machines.
    Good job, Invincea.

I don't know why some people never gave them a chance, thanks for the new version.

I would like to see a cosmetic Chance to the GUI from Invincea. I think a visual Change to the Interface / trayicon would be nice now that the program is in the Hands of Invincea.

I agree. That's one change I expect to happen now that new developers have taken over SBIE.

That was the one thing I couldn't stand in SBIE, the ugly tray icon.

You know the saying, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder". Maybe I am old fashioned but I like the classic Sandboxie icon. Not only looks good (IMO) but more importantly, it serves its purpose well as its easy to tell by looking at it when a sandbox gets deleted or when programs in the sandbox are terminated but the sandbox is not deleted.

The tray icon has always reminded me of a slice of pepperoni pizza.
    What's not to like? :D

By all means. I welcome other's perespective of beauty and I respect it. However when it comes to icons, I like my program icons to be consistant with my operating system icons. Having said that I think SBIE should have updated their icons to reflect Windows 7 which has been around for awhile now. Meanwhile they seem to be stuck in Windows 95 low resolution and quality.

I agree, wouldn't like it to change. When you have been using a program for many years it's the familiar things that warm your heart.
I don't like change for change sake.

Everything. When I want to eat pizza, I'll call and get it delivered to me. I will make the choice whether I want beef pepperoni or smoked chicken. As much as I love pizza, I don't need to get reminded of it on my desktop or tray. :p

    P.S. Did I mention I hate yellow?

So it reminds you of a slice too. Glad I'm not the only one.
Do you think Invincea has had any meetings about the icon?
I don't. At least I hope they haven't. Not when there are real issues to work on. ;)

Any thoughts/observations on the effectiveness of 4.09?
Has it performed like tzuk's betas?
A quick view of the thread seems to indicate that they delivered on about 50% of what they intended to deliver on.
    Is that about right?

The contrast between red, yellow and black works real well as is easy to see whats going on in the sandbox by just looking at the icon. I think there would be a usability problem if the color of the icon is changed or if a Superman red S is placed right in the middle as someone suggested in another thread.

Also, the shape and look of the icon is the logo, trademark of SBIE, that cost money and it is worth some money. I doubt Invincea is gonna change something that it is associated with Sandboxie as much as the icon is. Just my opinion Safeguy:cool:.

I feel fine using 4.09. I honestly feel this version is better than 4.08. I know your problem with Chrome and the problem some users had running Firefox sandboxed are fixed. Those are good signs. In my personal case use, I feel Flash and SBIE are working better for me under this version that the previous one. Flash is the only program that gives me little headaches, it hasn't yet under 4.09.

Running flawlessly here too, I think this should put to rest all anxiety about the take over by Invincea.

    Whoa my good friend Osaban...
One little beta does not a successful transition make!
There's PLENTY of time for the new guys to revamp, rebuild, discontinue, add in, phase out or otherwise makeover the program as we have known it.
To all the folks who said some of us were premature in throwing shovels of dirt on Sandboxie, I would say it is equally premature to declare this a definitive victory.
Right track? Oh yeah. But I anticipate changes coming. And I haven't stored the shovel in the shed just yet. ;)

Hello Page! You are right anything can happen in the future, but considering that SB is a winning horse and the fact that Invincea now has an enterprise edition - Invincea FreeSpace (5 licenses minimum, down from 10), a pro version of SB perfect for the home market, and a free version of SB for market penetration, it seems to me that their strategy is clear and won't change for a while.

I have checked out the latest version on Win 8.1, running very stable. :thumb:

Looks like Invincea isn't about to let this app die. :)

I'm also quite happy for Tzuk, I hope he became a millionaire. :D
