I agree with Patrick, a Clean install of Sandboxie is what I would do next if I was you, bberkey1.

bberkey1, if you decide to do that, make sure the Sandbox folder in C drive and the Sandboxie.ini file in Windows are deleted after uninstalling SBIE. Also, delete contents on all sandboxes before uninstalling SBIE.

    Pat, look here:

I don't really know for sure but my feeling is that they wouldn't show up in the logs after deletion of the contents of the Sandbox.

Thanks, yeah would be awesome for some confirmation on this. I have a feeling windows log will show sandboxie running but hopefully not the apps itself.

Windows logs of execution will remain because the OS feature that does the logging isn't sandboxed. The sandboxed processes are loaded in memory just as any other program and the log storage isn't supervised by SBIE. Something like Shadow Defender will revert the logs, because unlike SBIE its virtualization is system wide.

FYI, Sandboxie 4.05.08 has been released.

I do wish tzuk would release a change log below the release announcement. I'd love to know what problems each update addresses.

    Later...

Yeah takes a bit of detective work but compatibility with Kaspersky broken in .07 and new template for Chrome phishing database added at a minimum this time. New Chrome template needs to be added manually in existing sandboxes.

    Cheers

Got some weird issue with sandboxie

When I double click on sandboxie web browser shortcut it use to open my firefox fine, now it just opens up windows media player ?

Tried uninstalling and deleting sandboxie.ini, ccleaner/privacer and the kitchen sink but even the latest build replaces the same issue.

    Any ideas ?

Maybe a member will have an answer for you here but you could try the Sandboxie forum which is very active.

CatMan, try this. Right click your Desktop>New>Create shortcut, paste:

    "C:\Program Files\Sandboxie\Start.exe" default_browser

You can name the shortcut "SBIE". It should work.

    Thanks!

Was running 8.1 for a last week or so but rolled-back to a Win 8 image yesterday because I just couldn't do without SBIE. Timing perfect as always. Now where did I put that 8.1 ISO..............

.12 also attempts to fix an issue with Foobar making SbieCrtl.exe crash, if you run that particular product.

    Cheers
