If I want to update from version 3.76 to version 4.02, do I install over the top of version 3.76 or would it be recommended to do an uninstall/restart/install?

    Thanks in Advance.

Works fine. I've been running the betas on all my XP machines.

Over the top works fine, I've gone back and forth between the beta's and 3.76 all with over the top installs.

    Hi Pete:

Is this a release as opposed to a Beta?

Escalader, version 4.02 is a release, as announced in their Home page.

    HI Escalader

I've used Sandboxie beta's for a long time, and not once have they ever caused me any issues.

You are welcome Seven64. I usually get my installers from that link as I prefer to use the 32bit version installer instead of the "All"(combined) version.

I upgraded one of my Windows XP Pro PC's to version 4.02. The only issue so far was Firefox not starting. I found the following solution in this forum.

I had to go back to 3.76 as pasting in browsers wouldn't work in the new version. (W7 64)
Seems like a lot of problems being posted at their forum. I hope there's another update soon. :doubt:

My windows 7 64 bit went smooth, but my vista 32 bit refused to update period. So I went back to 3.76.

I will wait a couple of weeks to upgrade my other two PC's to Sandboxie version 4.X.

Everything working fine in Windows 7 – but discovered that I can't shutdown sandboxed I.E in Windows 8 Pro – I have to use SBIE Control to 'Terminate all Programs' to close I.E.
No issues with any other sandboxed programs – eg, Firefox or Palemoon. (I did not have this issue with any of the beta versions of Sandboxie)
I've gone back to Sandboxie V3.76 in Windows 8 - and the issue has vanished!

But maybe you meant something else?

Same problem as what Krysis is having except mine is for Firefox. I think we both were running EMET 4.0 final at the time. I switched back to EMET 4.0 beta and everything is running fine with Sandboxie 4.02 and Firefox.

    Later...
