Yes I did, and all gratefully received :) All tests were successful - meaning none of the exploits escaped SafeSpace. I will post the results on our forum in due course.

I have been using this on one computer for a few days and have really found it just about perfect. I have enclosed my email and web browsing in it and the one thing I like is that it allows me to do everything else without having to commit before the reboot. It locks the parts of the computer that are malware magnets, but frees the rest up for everyday activities. I can purge the contents without rebooting. Going have to give this a thiumbs up and looks like a keeper.:thumb:

Still seems to have a issue with Vista and Firefox. Sometimes Firefox closes or comes up with a message that it cant run. But IE7 flys like a bird in it.:)

I second that! I downloaded the installer and have it sitting in a folder, untill i find the courage to install .NET crap 2.0. (if ever). I don't know about its memory usage, but keep it light please.

Well, neither the scroll button nor the scroll gesture works on my notebook with SafeSpace enabled. I have reported this to Kris a few months back.

    Hi,

Have you seen Kris's Knowledge Base post on the SafeSpace forum regarding the issue with the Synaptics Touchpad?
    http://forums.artificialdynamics.com/messages.aspx?TopicID=49

Hopefully this will resolve your problem.

    Regards,

I'm still getting one problem in this version that I was getting in the previous one - sometimes I'm unable to paste text in SafeSpaced browser and email (Firefox and Thunderbird). To enable this again I have to disable the two WaveHost.exe processes via Task Manager and restart SS.

Any ideas on how to resolve this? I have both apps on 'low privileges' and Full Control on the Profiles folders.

Any advice would be great. So far this is my only niggle with an otherwise excellent application.

    Just made an interesting discovery.

I installed OA free with SafeSpace in a snapshot.

If I mark my browsers( Opera and IE) as Run Safer in OA free, SafeSpace will no longer run them inside the Sandbox.

    Hi Mr fargoreed.

We are still looking into this issue. We do have a longer term solution, but I can't at this time give a firm date on when this will be available.

I apologise for the inconvenience this may cause in the meantime.

    Best regards,

    Kris.

Thanks you for highlighting this. I'll investigate it, but my thoughts are that OA is acting as a proxy for the execution of processes.

I recreated the issue, and it appears that when 'Run Safer' is enabled on a program, then it is spawned by oasrv.exe. Online Armor seems to be stopping SafeSpace from intercepting this.

But from what I can gather, Run Safer is an extended option to do what SafeSpace does by default, and that is to remove administrative rights, so is Run Safer needed?

    Best regards,

    Kris.

    Hi Kris

That's great to know. Keep up the excellent work. SafeSpace is now one of the apps I install without question on my setup :thumb: .

I love SafeSpace! I feel *safe* when browsing pr0n sites now

When will the Pro version be released and what more will it offer? This is one product I would pay for.

I downloaded this today to check it out.

Initial impressions were good, install was smooth,
reboot, nice GUI, simple interface, very easy to read,
did not experience any slow downs with Firefox, IE7,
or Opera, but did find a conflict with IE7Pro if you have
adblocking and flashblocking enabled, if you open a
webpage with flash content flash tries to load and
it just keeps creating and recreating a process for
flashutil9e.exe over and over, till computer becomes
unresponsive, solution is to remove adblocking and
flashblocking in IE7Pro and relaunch IE7 in SafeSpace.

Something on my system has prevented SafeSpace from working smoothly, it takes minutes for Internet Explorer7 or Outlook Express to load although they do eventually load in SafeSpace clearly indicated by the red border.

Are there any known program conflicts?, my main realtime protection is Online Armour paid, Kav 7 latest version, a-squared antimalware, Spyware Blaster Snoop Free,Prev CSI,Secunia and SAS on demand, not to mention Returnil for surfing the darkside.

Hey, u put a pile of security applications and then ask about conflicts. I am using it with OA free only and it runs very smooth so far.
