    Hi Joe,
As the captioned subject says. When SafeOnline module in Prevx facebook version .185 is active (regardless a browser, in my case Opera 10.61 and IE8 ), right clicking on speaker icon in systray and choosing Open volume mixer triggers the crash of Volume Control Applet. However when SafeOnline is disabled no crash occurs. I am sending the Microsoft's crash log and Prevx's scan log to report@prevxresearch.com with a link to this thread.
    Thx for resolution and regards,
    pegas

EDIT: I forgot to say that before you go to open the mixer you should play in a browser something (youtube etc.). It looks the crash is tied with playing sounds.

    Hello Joe!

I have solved the problem myself :p OK now seriously, I was wandering around Prevx forum today and I noticed your post https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showpost.php?p=1733395&postcount=10 where you recommend to lower the self protection to Minimum, so I did do this too and my initial testing gives no Realtek crashes yet. So I should also thank you for giving me idea :thumb: BTW, using the latest beta (.189).

But you've also lowered your protection to a minimum so i don't see this as a solution. Prevx should fix this issue.

Yes, you are right. I also expect Prevx will fix it but for the time being it is a working temporary solution.

Wait for Joe's reply but a good suggestion is to start a support ticket next time to expedite it faster as sometimes Joe is very busy! Just a suggestion! http://info.prevx.com/service.asp

Thx TH :thumb: I send two tickets. The first for this issue and the second one for my problems with the Translate Client (see another my thread).

Just to inform you that the issues has been solved via a remote session. During debugging it turned out that Prevx's self protection was a reason for my problems with playing of streamed wmv videos, so Joe killed two birds with one stone :D :thumb:
