If any of you have used the latest releases of Safari or Webkit, please tell me which of them is safer & lightweight? Apple has a history of making applications, which add unnecessary (or unwanted) services & even "start up programs" on Windows XP.

I appreciate any details from a security-enthusiast, who has used Safari (which uses the Webkit-engine).

In your opinion, are either of them worth using on a daily-basis?

ALSO: Would any of you tell me the difference between WinRAR 7.51 and 3.80 (beside their site & version#)? :D

Only issue with iron as of now is that it is not currently updated. There were some issues browsing MS sites and hotmail. From readig in their forum it appears that updates my not be a priority at this time. I really like the browser but because of update issues and surfing problems I decided to just use google's chrome and the unchrome tool.

    Hi Newandhistory!

I have been using Safari since the first BETA available for Windows!

And right now i use Safari BETA 4.0.
If it's fast? YES lightning fast!!!!
Any bugs? Not what i have found yet anyway.
Secure or not? Well Safari uses the blacklisted website database from Google. And 2 sites i tried to visit where blocked so the security is quite great.

Hope i help you a little to decide wich browser to use!

And i really think you should try BETA 4.0 out!
If you don't like "her" then you can allways uninstall :thumb:

    Cheers, SweX
