Sad Newbie - Accidental Recovery? **Disregard**

Pardon me if this has been covered elsewhere - I'm new to these forums am and kind of freaking out right now.

After I turned on my computer this morning I caught out of the corner of my eye the word "Acronis" on the Windows XP startup screen. I had never seen the startup do that before. I didn't think anything of it until later today when I notice that my system had apparently been restored to my last Acronis backup, which was about 6 weeks ago. I check the True Image log and it doesn't show any activity with respect to restoring my system.

**UPDATE** I forgot that I had a more recent incremental backup on an external drive, which I'll be restoring. Still no explanation why this happened in the first place, though.
