Hi, folks: It is the CAT scanner of your box, producing a detailed info, but when I click start scan, the app wants to make a network connection immediately, why? There is another button for check new version( connecting outside is warranted), therefore there is NO need for scanner to contact outside. Strange.

    Perman,

I think (it says when you first run it) it's verifying any signatures on the files it can....

    Regards,
    M.

The program warns you when you first start it up.
It's verifying signatures with clr.microsoft.com and clr.verisign.com (first screen at first startup)
