Running NOD in Real-Time and KAV in On-Demand

It might be unique to KAV 5.0 WS, which I use, but this approach doesn't work for that case. Neither demand scanning nor right click scanning are functional. Don't know about the other 5.0 variants. What you describe is similar to how I used to run 4.5 WS but, wanting to have my cake and automatically eat it too, I used the Control Center for automated updating and scheduled demand scans, realtime scanning was disabled. That is what's not working even with 4.5 now - the steps you describe above should work but I hadn't tried them.

strange.. i managed to do it with KAV 5.0.149 last month or so.. Personal not WS though, but should be similar.. what I did was just for testing to see if they play along with each other.
