I've been running Chromium through a shortcut with the command --disable-javascript for quite some time now. I thought it was successfully blocking javascript, but it seems it wasn't.

I've always noticed that a forum where I go could still display ads. I wondered if it was normal, since I had javascript blocked using that command.

Today, while changing the commands in the shortcut to add a new one, I had to delete a few commands like -disable-javascript, -disable-plugins. I disabled those in the browser itself.

The forum no longer displays ads. So, my guess is that javascript wasn't being blocked 100%.

Anyone using Chromium could try it out? If you're disabling javascript using that command you may not be blocking it 100%.

    Regards
