Please understand for most of us out here the making
of a new rule is to complicated for us. Me especially.
I suggest a question and answer format to help us create rules.
It sure would make things easier for me. Eset generally is way
to complicated for the average user to understand. So I have
a hands off policy and hope ESET is taking care of me.
I am still suffering with the Firewall settings and having
program after program that I have to switch my Firewall
settings to update. Hope it will soon be fixed.
    Thanks for ESET

Yes, rule creation can appear complex hence the automatic mode or even training mode. However, for those that prefer to tinker with rules there is interactive mode. Even if the rule creation was simplified (somehow), there will always be users for find it daunting

Are you sure you have the firewall in automatic mode? Sounds like it might be in interactive or learning.

To Cudni: Yes, I prefer to tinker with the rules. Thanks for the interactive modes. :thumb:

    Thanks for the replies.
I run ESET in Interactive mode. For those who never have,
you don't realize how much of your business is disbursed
to god knows who for what reasons.

I don't like to tinker. That's what I have ESET for.
Really, Windows could be written so we are not exposed to this virus nonsense.
