Does anyone know how to stop disk check from checking when the system is starting up. Seem to be related to rollback.

    I am running XP.

If you have an RB snapshot saved in a state where chkdsk was flagged to run (and it didn't) then each time you start up it will try to run.

At this point, I suggest that you uninstall RB to your preferred snapshot by entering RB's boot console (press the Home key when you see RB loading). After uninstalling RB, run chkdsk /r (you can do this by first running 'cmd' in the Run box and entering chkdsk c: /r at the prompt, or you can select My Computer | C-drive | Properties | Tools| Error-Checking, and then check both boxes). When that's done it's probably a good idea to do a disk cleanup followed by a disk-defrag. Finally, if all appears to be well, reinstall RB and you should be good to go.
