This antivirus looks powerful, I will try to find time to test it this weekend. I would today but I got some other applications to test.

    How is Risings Heuristics?

Can anyone confirm whetehr the hips components are present in windows 7 64 bit?.I dont see many of the options that are talked about in this thread.I dont have a right click context menu scan (neither does the g/f on her laptop)I also dont see any options for anything to do with hips such as "OS enforcement" or "application enforcement".Ive uninstalled and reinstalled and noticed that "smart active defence" is not available. Is this the hips section?.Perhaps someone else with w7 64 can confirm whether this is normal or peculiar to my system?

I don't think that the HIPS work on 64bit but I don't have a 64BIT machine to test on.

I've added Opera for application reinforcement. Do you mean that I should just set System enforcement to high and I'm done? Also, should I leave the allow signed applications checkbox checked?

MBAM IP protection blocked that site for some reason.

Just installed and I really like this AV. Liked the last version, too, and this feels incredibly light and for a free product is very impressive. Running on Windows 7 as Limited User and updated without any problems. Early days yet, but so far I like very much :thumb: .

Does Rising PC Doctor add anything if already running their RAV, or is it just overlapping? :doubt:

EDIT: Arrrgh... tested with Internet Security 2010 again with the new settings (Opera protected, System reinforcement set to high), denied the action with System reinforcement, but the software still manages to run perfectly almost! In fact, it's sitting in my tray right now!

    hmmm...mbam blocked that site too.

Anyway, has anyone tested the web scanner?

I guess it's because the site has virus samples there?

Same here with w7 64bit. Wish their webpage would tell you that not all fully compatible with W7 64BIT.

Now time to uninstall and turn avast5 back on.
