    Phew!
For a minute there I thought it was 365-day Christmas schmaltz or nothing. (Like 'Hello Kitty' all over again.)

If only they would update their PC Doctor that is still not Windows 7 compatible.

I wish a Rising Rep would come over here to Wilders and give us an update on their products.

I also hope their Active Defense system is now finally compatible with 64bit systems...

The download is dead slow even with segmented download. Will test it a bit in virtual environment to see how it works. For some reason i kinda like Rising, though i hate the fact that Active Defense doesn't work in 64bit OS. Well, at least the 2011 version doesn't. In 32bit OS that i tested quite long ago, it worked pretty well against malware.

    EDIT:
This christmas skin is really not doing it any justice. The black one looks million miles better. The program is also not bad, they just have to iron it out a bit and really get a proper translator because chinese -> english appears to be really bad. I turned off the 1 year signatures nonsense and gave it a spin. It fared really well against malware. It's one of my favorite free AV's really and i don't like chinese software for some reason. Rising is an exception though.

The screens above are the thing. It's just the skin that doesn't do it any justice. Maybe i'll post some black skin screenshots when i get from work. Black theme looks so much better...

They are antivirus screenshots. Can you post firewall screenshots?

This sucks. Tried installing it on Win7 64bit and Active Defense was again unchecked with a red cross... just like 2011 version.

    Hi:

Is the firewall non free trial or pro version? It has a day count that starts with day 1?? IS the firewall 2012 beta free or not? Thanks in advance for your reply.

well what you expect from chinese? Chinese are good at everything but languages. The firewall is solid and so is the antivirus as I am testing it now. Language does not much matter as long as it does a good job and the message can get through as I say. lol. I just hope the 2012 beta firewall is free.

Pfff, damm. Too stupid. I would really use it if it would deliver Active Defense for 64 bit..

AV is imo useless because Active Defense (yet again) doesn't work on any 64bit OS. WHich makes it useless. Active Defense is the main reason why i'd use Rising. But since all my systems are 64bit, it's just pointless.
