Restore Image

    I am using Acronis 7.0 - I have upgraded my hard drive and now have 2 partitions 30 gig each.

    The image file that I have is a 40 gig image. Is there a way to restore a image file to a smaller partition (the data in the partition is only 20 gig.)?

    Hi, Rearle

    You do not format the HDD before you restore an Image.

    Does the Image have the OS, as well as Data.

    When you start restoring an Image you are given the choice to chose the size of the Partition to restore to the HDD.
