    Alright, that makes sense.

    I hope it gets added soon so I can finalize tests to see if it causes a blue screen still. :)

    Hi RedlanceEQ,
    I apologize for the delayed reply to your post. Improvements in this direction would be part of the stability improvements in the 3x Beta versions. If possible, please test the latest Beta 3x version and see if it provides any relief from your shutdown issue.

    Please also make sure that you have deactivated automatic defragmentation on your Vista and Win 7 systems when using either 2x or 3x.

    Okay, I'll give the latest Beta3 a go and see if it solves it.

    I'm using Windows XP by the way, not Vista or 7.

    Well, install went well and looked all good. First reboot went fine with no crash as administrator.

    However, when rebooting from normal user, I got the usual blue screen:

    Grrrr....

    Thanks for the confirmation re 2010 Beta. I have discussed your new report with the lead virtualization developer directly and will report back to this thread as soon as I have more feedback from the entire development team.

    For now, the recommendation is still to turn the wipe feature off until this is resolved (specific fix for this will be listed in the change log when available).

    Please try RC0 and let me know. The wipe is changed to startup so hopefully this will end the issue.

    I'm going to sound like a noob but... by RC0 you mean release candidate 0, right? Meaning I should get the latest version of the beta?

    Just making sure in order to prevent a mistake. :)

    Sorry, didn't mean to be so confusing :oops:

    Yes, Release Candidate 0 is the current "Beta". You will need to re-register it as it is now using an updated registration for RC's and final releases.

    First off, sorry for the long delay in answering, work got really hectic.

    I finally took the time to install Returnil 2010.

    Tested it and so far I've not seen any blue screen at shutdown. The startup is not too slow either so it looks good on my end. :)

    Thanks a lot for all the help and assistance you gave me Coldmoon )and the developer too, of course!)
