    OS:
    Suse Linux 2.4.27

    Hardware:

Intel Server, Motherboard SE7501BR2 with onboard Video Controller Ati Rage XL, Raid Controller Intel SRCU 32, 100 Ethernet & 1GB Ethernet controller on board.

    Problem:
When booting from the rescue CD, computer freezes, just a little blank in the upper right corner appears. When pressing F11 and selecting "noapci" and "apci = off" doesn't boot either. Pressing F11 and deleting "quiet" from the kernel command line does not bring any progress.

Nothing happens, nothing is loaded, server is freezed/locked immediatly.

When using the Suse Linux Boot CD, the Server boots fine. o_O

    Please support.

    Hello sheinzmann,

Thank you for using Acronis True Image (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).

We are really sorry for the inconveniences.

Could you please let us know the build number of the product, which you can find in the Help -> About dialog (it should be a 3-digit number)?

Could you please clarify when exactly the server hangs when booting from Acronis bootable rescue media? Do you see the "Starting Acronis Loader..." string? Do you see the blue splash screen with Acronis True Image logo? Do you see the "Loading, please wait..." string after the splash screen?

Please also note that the special parameter is: "acpi=off noapic" and not the one you specified.

    Thank you.

    Hi Acronis Support,

    thanks for your quick replay.

The Build is 833, the most actual version.

We do see the blue splash screen, but not the "Loading, please wait...".

At that position where "Loading, please wait..." should appear, we only see a blank "_" - thats all. The keyboard is dead after this (check with num-lock led).

The "acpi=off noapic" has been used correct, it was only a typo in my thread-post.

    ...Awaiting your reply....

    Thanks and regards,

    Steffen
