I have seen several references to the Port Explorer option that replaces the Task Manager with Port Explorer so that PE can be activated with Ctrl-Alt-Delete. I would like to do this but I can't find this option in the PE menus or in the help file.

    Hi vader46.

    Modify the following registry key

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\taskmgr.exe

    Add 'String Value'
    Name - Debugger
Value Data - Path to PE executable eg- C:\Program Files\Port Explorer\PortExplorer.exe

    Hi tonyjl,

Thanks for the tip. For some reason the key

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\taskmgr.exe

didn't exist. But all I had to do is just create it and then add the the string value as you suggested. It works just fine.

    Regards,
