Renewing license outside USA

My license for ESET NOD32 Antivirus is about to expire, and I've tried to renew it with a further 2 years. However, I cannot get past the "shipping address" part as apparently they don't ship to Thailand, where I live. Why this is a problem I don't know, as nothing will be physically shipped. My previous address data is now labeled as "incomplete" but when I click on Edit all the mandatory fields are filled. I cannot select the existing address as a shipping address for the above mentioned reason.
How to I get around this? Should I fill in a dummy address? Will this get me in trouble during the billing part, or at any other stage (eg. download)? And why am I having this problem in the first place if all I want to do is download a new license through the web? Do these people WANT me to go to one of the illegal software markets here and buy a cracked version?

 

If you've moved from the USA to Thailand, I'd suggest contacting the US sales department. They should have your previous US address on files and thus should be able to transfer your license to the Thai distributor from whom you'll be able to purchase a renewal then.

 

That's the funny thing. I never lived in the US. I bought this license last year, through the Eset website, while already living in Thailand. I think it's ridiculous I'd have to go through a reseller to get my license renewed. Is there any other way?

If you wish to contact ESET's distributor in Thailand to initiate the request through them, their contact information can be found on their web site at http://eset.co.th/about-eset/contact/. This might take a little bit longer than contacting ESET North America's technical support department to begin with, but on the other hand it may be more convenient to contact ESET's Thai distributor.
