Is it correct that if I renew NOD32 right now, I
will not have to pay extra when the suite comes out?

NOD32 AV and 'the suite' (including AV+Firewall+antispam...) are 2 diferent products.

If you renew your nod32 license you'r granted free updates & upgrades to new versions within your license period. I guess it will be possible to upgrade to 'the suite' but i don't think it's for free. I hope Eset consider an 'special upgrade' price for registered user (me including) :)

Thanks - if that's true, it would be better for me to wait. I want to see the pricing.

Yes, I would lose the discount. Since my main AV is KAV, I think maybe I should wait unless I hear otherwise. I have NOD32 as a backup and might use it as main if I'm not satisfied with KIS 6.

My NOD32 license just ran out today, so that also makes it less urgent.

No so true what xTiNcTion told you . It is true that the suit and the antivirus are different products but the other is wrong . I am from NOD32 Bulgarian team and I know that when the suit is ready , all current customers (pay now) will be able to have free upgrade to the suit . Free . ;-)

Are we to assume the standalone product will continue to be supported? I hope so..

of course!! as you will see not all nod32 user will upgrade to the suite so, don't worry.

sounds good. better wait to see the oficial statement from Eset when they release the suite.

Certainly hope so here too...I can't see them forcing you to go to a software firewall.

The install will probably allow you to choose the components you want - So there's no "forcing" anywhere.
