Hi All, I just tried the ESET Smart Security 3. Most of my emails in Outlook now has an footer: __________ Information from ESET Smart Security, version of virus signature database 3263 (20080711) __________ The message was checked by ESET Smart Security. http://www.eset.com I have found how to disable this setting in ESET now but can I remove the notifications from old emails that I have in Outlook? From my point of view it destroyed my old emails with the notifications. Hoping for a fast reply, Thanks. //Ase
Hi Kosak, Thanks for your fast reply. Sorry I did not understand fully your reply. "Repeat scan after update" was still selected when I looked now, but I unchecked it now. Selections that I removed earlier was: "Append tag messages to received and read mail:" and "Append tag messages to send email:" My problem is that the damage has already been done. Messages has been tagged with ESET info that I want to remove. //Ase
Undoing the footers would require manually removing them or re-sending them now that you have adjusted the default settings to un-select that item.
