[quick] format it like any other drive? Unless it has some special partition in which case there is usually a removal tool to download (from manufacturer's site)

It is formatted but you wanted to remove something that is on the drive (some content that you mentioned). I assumed that delete does not work in which case next thing to try is to format the disk

Ok, in this case it is need to format the hd if I understand that. Is it not possible to cleanup or delete the content with using the hd manager program?

Hi, thanks Cudni for the usefull info about cleanup the external drive. :)

When I format that drive, is it true or not that the first hard disk track be removed also?

    Hi ward

You say you have Paragon HDM 2010, you should be able to use the Wiping Data feature [tool] to destroy any data.

    Take Care

Up front, I have not checked the wiping tool, assuming it is for entire drives/partitons.

I wished there would be a very simple filemanager within the HDM boot CD.

So I would be able to selectively delete a folder (as an example).

Recently I came accross an issue that I cud not delete a folder :
no access, in spite of me being administrator and in spite of the fact
that the application itself to which the folder belonged, was not installed.

    i.e. it was a 'left-over' from a previous delete.

Had to go thru complicated steps to get ownership of the folder and delete it.
    (takeownership.reg did not work)

When I would boot from HDM boot CD I cud delete the folder from there - if .. some kind of explorer would be available.

    Thanks
    =
