    Hello,

    I have just added the add-on 'Remove Anonymously' to Firefox.

    In order to install the add-on I had to agree that it could use personal information.

    My question is: 'Does this have security implications'?

    Should it be removed, or is it harmless?

    Thanks

    Ps. I use Firefox under kubuntu ver 14.05

    I don't see that add-on in Firefox. Where did you get it?

    I was looking for a programme to replace RIP (remove it permanently) which is no longer supported by Firefox. Remove Anonymously was given as an alternative, It comes from the Mozilla Repository.

    Best wishes.

    You haven't done me any favours, but my opinion, for what it's worth ... be careful. I wonder if it is needed and on my machines I'd say probably not.

    Maybe I missed your helpful link.... Or I wouldn't have had to search for it.

    I have given you my response for what it's worth. Take it or leave it. :)

    @anon_private

    You start by miscalling the addon (it's remove anything not remove anonymously)
    Then you mention something called Mozilla Repository which doesn't exist
    Then it takes you 6 posts to provide the link
    Then the link is broken
    Then you say you did @Krusty a favour

    And all this when you had already answered your own question
