well the problem is that with tab bar setting of latest opera the appearance of opera changes quite a bit and thus changes prevx tab's position which is not quite right itself ......i had an issue during the beta itself ...as for the solution we have the ever efficient joe

I suspect we're going to have to place the tab above the browser bar... I'll play around with my Opera installation here to try and find something which looks reasonably good, although Opera is a bit too customizable to be able to make work in all instances.

I'll send over screenshots with what we decide!

 

Why not code it so that we can put it where we want it?

I tried going into compatibility mode and then out again in version 3.0.5.91.

• I changed config. to HIGH.
  
• Rebooted.
  
• Changed to MAXIMUM
  
• Rebooted.

But I don't think it worked as Screen capture was not blocked properly after the final reboot.

Only when I uninstalled, rebooted, and then installed again did I manage to exit compatibility mode and Screen capture blocking worked again.

Just wondered if this worked yet or if we need to wait until the final release?

Another thing, about the "Tab" placement. Would it not be better to have it in line with the address bar.

 

This should be working but apparently is not I'll do some testing here and report back as soon as I have some answers!

well if by full version you mean all features available...then the answer is NO
prevx free has unlimited scanning and detection.....but no real time blocking or removal(except mbr rk/adware) also safeonline in trial mode cannot be set at max.....

I've been running the free version of Prevx since last year. Recently downloaded the free Facebook PSO offer and installed over the top, even though i don't have a FP account Got some initial errors, but succeeded. According to my screenie i have got MAX enabled ?



Could be a fluke, but it works

While we definitely prefer that you sign up/recommend us to all of your friends on Facebook, it is possible to receive the Facebook version without being on Facebook already, although it will provide maximum SafeOnline protection but not the full Prevx 3.0 software

I initially couldn't reproduce the issues you experienced... but they most definitely do exist, provided you use UAC I've corrected these now and we'll have a new test version out by early next week. Thanks!

We initially thought of putting it there, but it seems like the address bar itself is so busy (with EV certs, other logos, etc.) that we wanted to be more unobtrusive. We're still experimenting with a movable button, which would probably be the ideal situation in my opinion

 

aah....facebook version of pso....i forgot about it...
CloneRanger the facebook offer gives safeonline's full version not the regular trial version....available from prevx site...so its no fluke

Still not sure It looks to be an incompatibility with your version/setup of Opera, but Opera support is rather complex to make. Hopefully the next build will solve it, but I can't guarantee it - we'll definitely look further if we can't find a solution on our end!

Thanks Triple Helix and Kasperking for your response, this is exactly what I needed to know if the Real Time monitoring is ON for RC (at least for 15-30 days).
Maybe is just me, but I will wait until Prevx offer a full version for a limited time trial. I want to try it, abuse it, test it for prevention, cleanning and if I like it, il buy it. I know I could wait forever, but this is how I see it.
