avast! Cleanup Tool is a small program that will clean the remaining registry entries and files still left behind by avast! Antivirus uninstaller.

What's new in v1.2:
- Added support for avast! v8 cleanup (all editions)
- Added Windows 8 support

Just out of curiosity, what issues do you have with the official uninstall tool?

It has been recently updated to support the Avast 8 betas as well as solve some issues of the previous versions.

RejZoR's finds and removes all of avast! remnants that are left behind
even after using your tool after the first initial un-install of avast!
does a wonderful job!

p.s. files.avast.com/test5beta/aswclear.exe also is your new one in BETA testing?

Vlk, the problem was that even after running aswClear, whole lot of stuff was left behind. And i didn't know this for very long until i did some reasearch about other stuff and found out avast! leftovers.

I haven't tested your new tool but the old one for v7 only deleted the folder that you picked and nothing else.
