Ah, more to play with. This is getting cool. and oh, I was able to reset my reset password, and have been able to log on. I have some reading to do. I want to play a bit with the malware I've got. Interesting to get it to run and then see how it protects.
Okay. The more I play, the more impressed I am. Now an operational question. And this is something I'll only be able to test on my production machine. I use Outlook. I assume if I run Outlook protected, all of the outlook files would end up in one of the user folders, and at the end of the day I could retrieve them and place in their normal home for back up purposes. BUT.... As part of running Outlook I have a search program Looken which installs as a separate program and hooks into Outlook. Can't live with out it. I also have Microsoft Maps installed and this also hooks into Outlook, and allows doing routing testing using Outlook contacts. And finally I use Quickbooks and when I send statements it sends out the statements by sending them to Outlook for the actual email send. How will all that work with in the isolated environment.??
They have to be put in the same IE than outlook (if possible). Select "Expert Mode", then when those programs are launched , do they generate a prompt from ReHIPS? If yes, then select "allow isolated " , then in the next step, you can isolate them in an already present IE (so you had to choose Outlook's IE) , that should solve the issue. If not, a post in ReHIPS forum will help you, because personally i barely use Outlook.
Thanks guys. I am a ways from trying that but at least what I am hearing is it 's possible. I only use Looken for email search. For that alone it was worth it. I am still playing an learning, and part of that learning is to figure out how this puppy fits in. You guys have been a huge help.
Is the error about DNS? I thought it's my network settings doing stuff because I use a VPN. And I am lazy enough to fix things, like disabling the VPN on reboot and clearing the cache. But since you mentioned it's been down in yours too, then my laziness has saved me time and effort.
I forgot to mention that I did, but with isitdownrightnow.com. And it said that time that the site was "up and reachable", that's why I thought that the problem was at my end.
From what i heard, seems the main investor get tired to wait before a stable release, and the introduction of CU surely gave the devs more unwanted workload and delays.
Pitty pitty pitty. It's a shame this is happening to those guys. This program is so important and being so well nurtured that it would be a real shame they go out of the market.
I don't know but stopping it now just before his release is nonsense...im sure there is something behind...maybe rights, intellectual properties, etc...
Fixer is wondering why the DNS is down. The answer probably is what the CEO said, that he put on hold the project. They should definitely fix their (all of the team) conflicts, if there's any.
