RegOpenKeyEx Failed 5 0

Using the trial version, and the activeguard doesn't want to start...
Any cure for this?
Running XP home, NAV was off during 2nd installation, with no change.
I'm out of ideas. Any suggestions?

How long is ewido anti-malware installed on your pc? The realtime protection and the automatic updates will only work for 14 days. After that they'll be disabled. ( Since this is not included in the free version )

Edit: Are you probably using an other security tool which blocks registry accesses? If not please uninstall ewido anti-malware and reinstall ewido anti-malware by using the latest setup from http://www.ewido.net/en/download
