registry cleaners

    hi
    Are registry cleaners really needed at all.
    Ive heard they are dangerous programs to use.
    If they are needed can anybody recommend any good and safe programs.
    Any views would be helpful.

    I use CCleaner on every system I have or had and never had any problems and has always been safe.You can get a free version here. http://www.piriform.com

    You can skip it, especially if you run Windows Vista/7.

    windows vista and windows 7 is somewhat better with resgistry,There is still many left over junk files can be found.
