    It appears that the opt-out mechanisms require creation and use of an account (which would pose its own risks). However, some appear to be addressing these issues by disabling javascript or using a user-script/extension. Inspect anchor elements and related source, check for requests to out.reddit.com and/or redirect.viglink.com, etc.
