While running ESET Online Scanner, it detected the following:

    Current Scan Result:
    Threats found!
Probably a variant of Win32/Genetik trojan

I have not seen this during my last scan (2 weeks ago), did not load any new software, I run MBAM religiously almost every day which did not detect anything and my McAfee Anti Virus did not detect anything. Is this a false-positive?? Can anyone assist?

    Much Thanks!

    Mike

Actually it seems like a false-positive by eset... the scan results were as follows:

    C:\Program Files\Verizon\Verizon Media Manager\Release\VaultMediaClient.dll

probably a variant of Win32\Genetik trojan

    cleaned by deleting - quarantined

Why is eset detecting thiso_O? Verizon Media Manager is a legitimate program!! Please advise

    Thanks

Please submit the dll in question per the instructions here. I, for one, was unable to find it among files gathered from different sources, including ThreatSense.Net. It could be a patched dll or actually FP.
