Real Time Defender, first impressions

    Thanks for your response. As I'd already changed the file path to C:\WINDOWS I've now left it like this. Could you just explain the quote in a bit more detail as I can't quite understand what you mean about letting RTD select the folders?

    Select system folder in the left pane, in the right pane double click each %SystemRoot% and a dialog will popup giving you the choice/button to select the folder.

    Thanks for that - I'm up to speed with this now. Even asks if it's OK to remove my pendrive! 100 times better than the junk that comes attached to some of the firewalls these days and an ideal compliment for my Sygate and Cyberhawk.

    I actually review software on another site and useful freeware in both these categories that doesn't crap up your system is getting harder to find. I'm quite hopeful about OSSS though if they can get it stable. If this runs like it says on the box without doing a 'Comodo' with the OS then it could be a real winner. Time and a stable release with all the functions enabled will tell!
