    Hello,
I normally use PIII iron, but I just built a Gigabyte p35-s3g/ Intel core duo e7200 pc on a lark w 2g ddr2. I added a 7200 series pci-e video card, and am running xp pro at sp3.

Hmonitor and other temp monitors show the vid card at 185F. A floor fan blowing into the open case will drop that to 145F. I get intermittent black screens randomly_usually after clicking on something or trying to scroll. Sometimes these are frequent and other times I can go for hours. I am in a marine coastal environment and the room is cool. I have a thermaltake cpu cooler_fan/heatsink type and nothing is overclocked. I do not game.

Nothing irregular shows in the logs. I am not sure if the pci-e card is the issue or if the cpu is shutting down. I replaced the card once and nothing changed. The card is warm ot the touch, but not overly so.

Can anyone help with this issue?
    Thanks,
    nodoodoo
