    How do I make a quote and change the background colour?

    A quote is made by using the quote button in the upper right hand corner of the post you want to quote. You can edit the text between the quote tags the same as you would your own.
    I'm not sure what you mean by changing the background color? If you mean the background color of the quotes being different from the rest of the post, that is done for you by the board.
