I am using Opera some but one issue I am having trouble figuring out is that when I have a web page open sometimes I want to click a link within the page (the original window) to open up a smaller page (a new window)- not sure if Opera reads this as a pop up or a new tab- but I suspect as a pop up. There are two windows opened at this point, the original and the popped up one. Anyway, I can only move the newly opened page to the edge of the original. Is there some setting in "preferences" to move the opened page completely off the original one?

    thanks

    One solution:

if you hold the Shift key as you click on the link, you force the new page to open in a new tab and you can cycle between the tabs (pages) with the "1" and "2" keys.

Also there are settings for tabs vs windows:
    Ctrl-F12 or Tools > Preferences > Advanced
Take a peek at Tab settings as well as Additional Tab settings.

I didn't think about that -- he needs to check those settings first!
