Question for Shadow Defender users

    ShadowDefender will not carry an installed program across a re-boot. It will allow you to maintain a virtual session across restarts, but each restart results in a brand new virtual session. You cannot install a program in Shadow mode that requires a restart, and then re-boot your computer to fully activate it. On re-boot, the program will be gone. Returnil has the same limitation at this time.

    Like nanana1 mentioned ShadowUser can reboot without losing the previous session. The only problem is that it is not compatible with Vista. I think 'First Defense PC Rescue' and 'RollbackRx' are perhaps more suitable to test new software and eventually malware.
