I was reading this thread: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=105736 and I have Registry Mechanic installed on my PC. However... I did catch a virus but it said in the Threat log "connection terminated". I never look to see what Registry Mechanic wants to delete because I trust it a lot, and I am afraid possibly it might of deleted the folder NOD32 made.

At this point, should I reinstall NOD32?

Thanks, hope you all can give me your thoughts :)

I took a look at the Eset portion of the registry. As far as I can tell, that path to the quarantine folder, C:\Program Files\Eset\infected by default, is the only thing that would be affected.

Go to NOD2 Control Center --> NOD32 System Tools --> NOD32 System Setup --> Setup --> Advanced and just type in the path you want for the "Quarantine folder". Save your changes, and tell Registry Mechanic to ignore that value in future scans. That should probably be enough.

gotta question: i check this in program files C:\Program Files\Eset\infected
and the folder "infected" is not present, doesn't exist
also when checking NOD2 Control Center --> NOD32 System Tools --> NOD32 System Setup --> Setup --> Advanced ..i find in quarrantine folder: "c:\Program Files\Eset\infected"
so is this OK? or that folder has to be present inprogram files,as i tell you i don'r see when checking "my computer" c:program files

    Hi acuariano, welcome to Wilders.

That folder is only created upon detection of your first infection, and given that you have "Quarantine" ticked as part of your settings.

    Hope this helps...

    Cheers :D
