    Hi,

On some websites the page it takes a very long time to load because NOD32 "download" some files to check them I suppose.
I have a popup message from NOD32 as you can see in the attached image and I have to wait the end of the download before to see the page loaded.
Is that normal ? should I change something ?

I use Firefox 1.03 with high efficiency.

    Thanks

Indeed this is normal, Nod32 is checking everything before it loads on to your system.

    Cheers :D

ok but why sometimes it's so long, it's a problem from the website ? because with my image as exemple the website with not be loaded before 1 mn... it's long

If I go on this website http://www.hackerwatch.org/probe/

and I select "Port scan" I will have this "problem".... but maybe it's normal ??

The page states "Press the 'Hit Me' button to continue.
It may take up to 2 minutes for a result to display."

    I know that
But who pays you to take ANY chance --- and every thread --- to ask for beta dates, for RC dates ?

Shortly means SHORTLY we have our reasons why we don't publish fixed dates just in the blue sky. So please accept this and do not send 5001 PM's to all ESET Mod's and Distributors like last time.

And now come into daddy's arms :D He still likes you :-*

    Apart from responses already made:

Please don't hijack threads with one and the same off topic question. If not, you'll leave us no choice other then taking apropriate actions, something we don't like to do unless pushed to a limit.

    regards,

    paul

This is a shame. Peuj asked a very interesting question, and the thread gets highjacked by honeybunny asking about beta/RC releases.[IMG]

ok, please excuse me. Be so kind and kick my question and the other posts in this thread out of the forum. It's absolutely ok.

    Yes... back to the topic...

You could EXCLUDE from scanning for instance *.PNG files to speed up.
PLEASE DO NOT EXCLUDE *.JPG or other filetypes like *.HTM, *.JS and the like.

I won't. I'm sure you do have the courtesy to refrain from thread hijacking from now on - and thanks for that.

    regards,

    paul
