question about dsl modems

I have a dsl modem connected to one computer and want to be able to connect another computer to my dsl as well. But the other computer is in another area of the house and as far as I can tell, it does not have the ability to work with a wireless router. I just want to be able to add a dsl modem to it and plug it in the phone jack. My question is essentially can I have two dsl modems on a single phone line? Or will have to use a router?

Afaik its not possible. Youd need to use a router or you can try the crossover network cable method mentioned here.
