Quarantine Folder

In C:/Documents and settings/user name/Local settings/temp/Ewido quarantine there are a bunch of dat files in there. What are these? I have nothing saved in quarantine.

I should also mention there is a signature folder in the same location as the quarantine folder.

These two folders are also present in C:/Program Files/Ewido.

Why two locations for these two files?

Hmm. I could have sworn this was supposed to be a help forum. Maybe I was mistaken?

 

The files here: "C:/Documents and settings/user name/Local settings/temp/Ewido" are from the online scanner or from the tiny scanner (alternate for the online scanner)

The files here: "C:/Program Files/Ewido " should be from ewido anti-spyware 4.0 or ewido anti-malware 3.5
