    Just bought a New Sealed in Retail Packaging Kingston 240GB SSD A400 2.5" SATA III 6 Gb/s 550MB/s 240G SA400S37/240G. From a longtime 15+yrs eBay member (I know, I know) over 1500 FB at 100%.

To CYA I want to test if it's genuine. I've tested memory cards & flash drives. Don't know how to test a SSD from bootable media. Don't want to install Windows in case it fails & I wasted all that time.

Are there a bootable tools/Linux Distros to detect a counterfeit SSD?
