PX5 removed ?

    hi everybody,

    in june i have do in french web site, an explain for found file in prevx.com with PX5 : http://www.commentcamarche.net/faq/31882-prevx-installer-analyser-reporter

    it is very good for know more about the file :)

    Now with WSA, px5 is remove for md5, for example i have just catch this file :

    c:\users\aranud\desktop\xvidsetup.exe [MD5: 13DECAF02C8B4FCCFD97EA423EEFBC2E] [Flags: 08081010.8431]

    how i can found in prevx.com ? :doubt: :'(

    You can go to VirusTotal and use the search function! 13DECAF02C8B4FCCFD97EA423EEFBC2E and it will show you there info! In this case you get:

    File name: XvidSetup.exe
    Submission date: 2011-08-13 14:52:50 (UTC)
    Current status:finished
    Result:24 /43 (55.8%)

    We're moving to MD5 based lookups to be more standardized. PX5 is still one of the many signatures we use for detection but MD5s are easiest to explain/compare for users.
