I followed all the instructions for installing Endpoint on workstations and always had the same error:

Warning Could not set up IPC connection to target computer (SC error code 6, GLE error code 1203).

In the console the name of the pc is cut into 13 characters (TribCrim-Gutier instead of TribCrim-Gutierrez), which is why the above error.
If you change the name of the PC by one of up to 13 characters the push installation works fine!!.

I can not change the name of 200 pc., How do you solve this...?

    Thanks a lot!

Couldn't it be caused by the NetBIOS name limit?
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/163409/en-us
The NetBIOS naming convention allows for 16 characters in a NetBIOS name. Microsoft, however, limits NetBIOS names to 15 characters and uses the 16th character as a NetBIOS suffix.

Why the Era console not use to check administrative shares (admin$ & ipc$) the IP number instead or together netbios name?

Or can be configured in any way?

    Other solution to probe??

    Thanks.
